Travel and accommodation:
The conference will be held at the Bundanoon Hotel.
The train journey from Sydney and Canberra is approximately 2 hours. In order to arrive by train on time for the conference on the 26th of June, you would need to depart early in the morning. If you find early starts tough and you’re planning to take the train, you may wish to travel and stay the night before the workshop begins. For train timetable information see this site.
20 ensuite rooms are currently reserved for us – participants will need to call the hotel to book ((02) 4883 6005) rather than do it on the website (also, the rates are cheaper for us when calling). Please mention Kate Lynch's name when you book. Rooms with shared bathroom rooms can be booked online.
Thursday lunch order:
The Bundanoon Hotel does not serve lunch on Thursdays. We will pre-order for our group at Primula Cafe for the Thursday lunch break (note, we'll organise and place the order, but you'll need to pay for yourself). If you would like to be part of this pre-ordered group lunch Thursday, please see the menu photos here and be ready to tell us your order at the start of the morning tea break.
Other food:
Bundanoon is a small town in the southern highlands. It has a local grocery store and a number of cafes and restaurants. Food and drink from shops and cafes can be brought into the hotel and conference venue.
The Bundanoon Hotel does a dinner service each night from 5:30pm, and a lunch service on Fridays and weekends. They also have a bar open from 3pm each day. The menus can be found here.
